Industrial Demister Element Filter Cartridges
HILCO DM Series
Demister Elements for Gas-Vapor Separation
At the core of every HILCO® oil mist eliminator is a precision-engineered demister filter element that captures entrained oil mist from the air stream using an inside-out flow design. Collected oil is returned to the system for reuse, while cleaned air is discharged with reduced oil carryover, supporting lower emissions and improved operating conditions.
HILCO® oil mist eliminators help support environmental compliance efforts and reduce airborne oil emissions across a wide range of industrial applications.

HILCO Demister Element Key Features:
High-Efficiency Oil Mist Removal Media
Engineered mesh and fiber with a coalescing structure designed to capture and separate entrained oil mist from gas streams.
Inside-Out Flow Separation Design
Promotes controlled droplet impingement and coalescence, returning collected liquid to the reservoir for reuse.
Low Pressure Drop Performance
Available in multiple construction materials to support demanding industrial and chemical operating environments.
Corrosion-Resistant Material Options
Suitable for turbine, compressor, hydraulic, and lube oil systems across power generation, oil & gas, marine, data centers, steel, and more.
Drop-In Replacement Compatibility
Designed and custom engineered for HILCO mist eliminator housings and standard industrial configurations.

Oil Mist Eliminator
High-efficiency filtration system that captures and coalesces airborne oil mist from equipment vent streams, returning collected oil while releasing clean air.

Simplex Filters
Single-vessel filtration systems that remove solid contamination from industrial fluids where continuous filtration during element servicing is not required.

Coalescer Separators
Multi-stage separation systems that coalesce and remove entrained liquid contaminants from industrial fluid streams.

Liquid Coalescing Cartridges
Coalescing filter elements that capture fine liquid droplets and combine them into larger droplets for efficient separation from the process stream.
HOW IT WORKS
Removing Entrained Oil Mist from Gas Streams Through Coalescence
In rotating equipment and lubrication systems, oil mist is generated when lubricating oil becomes entrained in moving air streams from shear. Without effective separation, valuable lubricant can be lost while airborne oil contamination accumulates around equipment and throughout the operating environment. This can also lead to a low oil reservoir causing damage to equipment and costly replacement of lubricating oils.

By Capturing and Coalescing Entrained Oil Mist, HILCO DM Cartridges Help Deliver:
Reduced Oil Emissions
Minimizes oil mist released into the atmosphere
Recovered Lubricant
Returns collected oil to the reservoir for reuse
Cleaner Operating Environments
Reduces oil buildup on equipment and surrounding surfaces
Lower Operating Costs
Decreases lubricant loss and maintenance requirements
Industries
Demisters Proven Across Demanding Industrial Applications
HILCO demister filter elements help recover entrained lubricant, reduce oil mist emissions, and maintain cleaner operating environments across a wide range of industrial applications.
WHY HILLIARD
Why Companies Choose HILCO Demister Filter Cartridges
High-Efficiency Oil Mist Capture
Engineered coalescing media captures fine oil droplets entrained in equipment vent air and combines them into larger droplets for efficient separation.
Lubricant Recovery and Return
Coalesced oil drains from the demister element and returns to the equipment reservoir, reducing lubricant loss through vented oil mist.
Inside-Out Flow Design
HILCO Demister Elements use inside-out flow to capture oil mist within the filtration media while allowing cleaned air to discharge from the system.
Engineered for HILCO Oil Mist Eliminators
Demister elements are designed as part of the complete HILCO Oil Mist Eliminator system, pairing the filter with the vessel configuration for controlled oil mist removal.
